In July of 2011 the Friends of Pheasantbrook was awarded a $15,000 playground equipment grant from KaBOOM! and Dr. Pepper/Snapple. We were given one year to match those funds and build our new parks. Below is an outline of events we have planned to help us reach our goal of $30,000.

The Pheasantbrook Kids Club will be participating in the Global Youth Service Day. This will be a significant event as we join with youth across the globe in giving back to our communities! We invite everyone to attend!
Details on the specific service project are pending and will be announced soon.
The Month of May:
This is our last month to raise enough money to match our grant. So it’s the big PUSH! Watch for jars in local businesses asking for people’s spare change to help us match our grant. Our Kids Club will also be participating by going door-to-door collecting spare change.

The yard sale will be our final effort in raising money for the playgrounds. We had great success last year thanks to the participation of our friend, family and neighbors. We look forward to similar success this year.
