The $10 Challenge is a simple yet effective way for the Friends of Pheasantbrook to meet our goal of replacing the playgrounds in the Pheasantbrook community, which will provide a number of opportunities for the residents and homeowners in Pheasantbrook.
All you need to do is create a team of 10 people. Each member of the team then raises $10 from 10 people by December 15th, 2011. If each team member meets their goal, that team will have raise $1,000. If we get 10 teams, we will have raised $10,000 dollars! That would be amazing!
Creating a team page is a great way to allow your family and friends to make $10 donations online, and it will make sure your team gets credit for the donation.
Here are the instructions for setting up a free online page at StayClass.org.
1. From the FoPB Home page, click on the "Start Fundraising" icon found on the right hand side of the screen. This will take you to the StayClassy website.
2. Click on "Start a Fundraiser" at the top of the screen.
3. In the search bar, type 'Friends of Pheasantbrook' and then click "select"
4. On the next screen, click "select" on the '10 Dollar Challenge' to create your own team page.
5. Complete the necessary information to create a personal profile.
6. Once the profile has been created, on the right hand side of the screen you will find a green button that allows you to create a team in the $10 Challenge or join an existing team.
7. You can edit your fundraising page by adding pictures, videos, and changing your personal fundraising goals.
8. You will then be given the option to spread the word about your fundraising goals by email, Facebook and Twitter! Of course, you can also spread the word by phone calls and personal contact- you know, the old fashioned way. =o)
Keep in mind when talking to people about making donations, that besides being tax deductible, every person who makes a $20 donation to the Friends of Pheasantbrook will receive a reserved spot on the "Together We Can" hand mural to be built in connection with our playgrounds on the day of our Community Build, Saturday, May 5th, 2012.
Your participation in this fundraising challenge is greatly appreciated! Thanks for helping out!
